What is Markdown?

Markdown is a plain-text format that turns into clean HTML. **bold**, # Heading and - item read naturally as text and render as formatting. It's used for GitHub READMEs, documentation sites, wikis, chat apps and note-taking tools.

Is it safe to paste HTML?

Yes. The rendered output passes through DOMPurify, which strips scripts, event handlers and other dangerous HTML before anything is displayed. Your text never leaves your browser.
